Our current projects

The Trust focuses on a few key activities at a time. At the moment our key activities are:

• Completing the new library at Meetse A Bophelo Primary School
• Refurbishing and stocking a library at Zakhele Primary School
• Funding some developments in music at Meetse A Bophelo Primary School
• Providing additional resources for Sikhanyisele Primary School
• Providing additional learning resources for Tshegofatsong Special School
• Providing support for an ex-pupil of Meeste A Bophelo Primary School who has recently started at University

Music at Meetse A Bophelo Primary School

A Music Festival is held every year at Ashleyhay near Wirksworth in Derbyshire. In 2008 the Festival made a substantial grant to the Trust to be used to promote music at one of the schools in Mamelodi. Meeste A Bophelo School is currently discussing with a local music shop in Pretoria how it will spend this money and we look forward to hearing of some budding new musicians.
