Our current projects

The Trust focuses on a few key activities at a time. At the moment our key activities are:

• Completing the new library at Meetse A Bophelo Primary School
• Refurbishing and stocking a library at Zakhele Primary School
• Funding some developments in music at Meetse A Bophelo Primary School
• Providing additional resources for Sikhanyisele Primary School
• Providing additional learning resources for Tshegofatsong Special School
• Providing support for an ex-pupil of Meeste A Bophelo Primary School who has recently started at University

A refurbished library for Zakhele Primary School

Zakhele Primary School was the first school in Mamelodi to be supported by the Trust. Over the years, many resources have been provided including books, learning materials and computers as well as a well-equipped room for teaching science. The room currently used as a library is little more than a bookstore which is not used effectively by the pupils. The Trust has agreed to fund a refurbishment of the building, to help with the provision of new furniture and to fund some new books. The school is being assisted by the librarian at the new Meeste A Bophelo Primary School library and is very enthusiastic about improving the teaching of reading and developing pupils’ learning skills though an effective library.
